Disque d’Onyx is a sculptural triple wall sconce, lit from within, in which three onyx discs of different diameters overlap on the wall.

Story

Disque is the French word for disc. With this sconce, we set three onyx discs on the wall like a constellation. The discs, Ø18, Ø23, and Ø28 cm in diameter, are arranged from smallest to largest and overlap to create depth. At the center of each disc, a knurled brass cap adds an architectural focal point to the fluid bands of the stone. Disque stands like a work of art on a living-room wall, above a bed, or in a hotel corridor.

Stone: Natural Onyx

Onyx is a translucent natural stone formed as calcium carbonate carried by spring waters settles, layer upon layer, over thousands of years. This structure allows light to pass through the stone. The veining and color gradation of each block belong to that piece alone. When the lamp is lit, this pattern is illuminated from within and comes into view. The discs of Disque are made from an onyx with honey, amber, and cream bands.

Light

Behind each disc sits an LED source in a G9 socket. The light passes through onyx 18 mm thick and brings out its honey, amber, and cream bands. By day, the natural texture of the discs takes center stage. In the evening, the three discs glow individually, forming a warm composition on the wall.

Care and installation

A soft, dry microfiber cloth is all it needs. Do not use liquid cleaners, solvents, or abrasives. Mount the sconce on a flat, solid wall surface. Have the electrical connection made by a qualified electrician. We recommend a warm white (2700 K) LED bulb. Cool white light distorts the stone’s color gradations.

CAREHow do I clean natural onyx?

Simply wipe it with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, solvents, or abrasives. If a mark appears, wipe it with a slightly damp cloth, then buff with a dry one.

To protect the natural texture of the onyx, keep the lamp out of direct sunlight.

CAREWhich bulb do you recommend?

We recommend a warm white 2700 K LED bulb. Socket type and maximum wattage vary by model; you will find this information in the Specifications section of the product page and in the technical drawing. Cool white light distorts the natural color gradations of the stone.

RETURNSWhat are the return conditions?

We accept returns only when a product reaches you broken, cracked, or damaged in transit. Otherwise, no returns or exchanges are accepted.

Report the damage to studio@nyxora.lighting within 48 hours of delivery, with your order number and photographs of the damage; we will manage the return process. Natural variations in the veining, color, and tone of onyx are not considered defects.
