The Maison d’Onyx Wall Sconce brings a nostalgic light to classic living rooms, with an onyx dome ringed by navy glass beads and an opal glass globe.

Story

Maison is the French word for house. This sconce is the beaded lamp of old Parisian apartments, rendered in stone. A brass ring runs along the edge of the onyx dome, and navy glass drops are attached to it one by one. Beneath the dome, an opal glass globe diffuses the light. An antique brass arm and backplate anchor the whole composition to the wall. In libraries, dining rooms, and dark-toned living rooms, Maison creates a warm focal point.

Stone: Natural Onyx

Onyx is a translucent natural stone formed as calcium carbonate carried by spring waters settles, layer upon layer, over thousands of years. This structure allows light to pass through the stone. The veining and color gradation of each block belong to that piece alone. When the lamp is lit, this pattern is illuminated from within and comes into view. Maison’s dome uses an onyx banded in reddish-brown, honey, and cream.

Light

The light comes from a single LED source in an E14 socket. The opal glass globe spreads it in a soft, diffuse glow. The onyx dome also catches the light and reveals its reddish-brown and cream bands. Along the edge of the dome, the navy glass beads form a dark, glossy frame.

Care and installation

A soft, dry microfiber cloth is all it needs. Do not use liquid cleaners, solvents, or abrasives. Mount the sconce on a flat, solid wall surface. Have the electrical connection made by a qualified electrician. We recommend a warm white (2700 K) LED bulb. Cool white light distorts the stone’s color gradations.

CAREHow do I clean natural onyx?

Simply wipe it with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, solvents, or abrasives. If a mark appears, wipe it with a slightly damp cloth, then buff with a dry one.

To protect the natural texture of the onyx, keep the lamp out of direct sunlight.

RETURNSWhat are the return conditions?

We accept returns only when a product reaches you broken, cracked, or damaged in transit. Otherwise, no returns or exchanges are accepted.

Report the damage to studio@nyxora.lighting within 48 hours of delivery, with your order number and photographs of the damage; we will manage the return process. Natural variations in the veining, color, and tone of onyx are not considered defects.
