Maison Bleu d’Onyx Floor Lamp

Name: Maison Bleu d’Onyx Floor Lamp
Brand: Nyxora
SKU: NS-005

The Maison Bleu d’Onyx Floor Lamp brings the aesthetic of a French manor house to floor-lamp scale, with a body of alternating onyx cubes and spheres and a blue-and-white toile de Jouy shade.

Story

This time, we took the rhythm of our Maison Bleu table lamp to a height of 145 cm. The body is formed by alternating 10 × 10 cm onyx cubes and Ø10 cm onyx spheres. Brass rings sit between the modules. The blue-and-white toile de Jouy pattern on the shade comes from a classic textile tradition depicting scenes of rural French life. A Ø30 cm onyx base grounds this rhythm. In Parisian-style living rooms, cafés, and classic reading corners, Maison Bleu creates a nostalgic warmth.

Stone: Natural Onyx

Onyx is a translucent natural stone formed as calcium carbonate carried by spring waters settles, layer upon layer, over thousands of years. This structure allows light to pass through the stone. The veining and color gradation of each block belong to that piece alone. When the lamp is lit, this pattern is illuminated from within and comes into view. Maison Bleu’s cubes and spheres use a cream- and honey-toned onyx.

Light

The lamp has an E27 socket, and an LED bulb of up to 15 W is recommended. The fabric shade filters the light into a mellow, diffuse glow. When lit, the onyx cubes and spheres also catch the light, and the body becomes a column of lanterns. The bulb is not included.

Care and use

A soft, dry microfiber cloth is all it needs. Do not use liquid cleaners, solvents, or abrasives. Place the floor lamp on a flat, stable surface. To protect the stone’s natural texture, keep the lamp out of direct sunlight. We recommend a warm white (2700 K) LED bulb. Cool white light distorts the stone’s color gradations.

Every Nyxora piece is handmade from natural stone in our Izmir atelier. Veining and color tone may differ from the images. The piece you own is the only one of its kind.

STORY Maison Bleu d’Onyx Floor Lamp

A Provençal rhythm reaches upward.

This time, we took the cube-and-sphere rhythm of Maison Bleu to a height of 145 cm. Slim brass rings sit between the onyx modules. The blue-and-white toile de Jouy pattern on the shade comes from a classic textile tradition depicting scenes of rural French life.

The fabric shade filters the light into a mellow, diffuse glow. When lit, the onyx cubes and spheres also catch the light, and the body becomes a column of lanterns.

Cubes and spheres stack upward like stones along a garden path.

INFO CARE & COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

CAREHow do I clean natural onyx?

Simply wipe it with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, solvents, or abrasives. If a mark appears, wipe it with a slightly damp cloth, then buff with a dry one.

To protect the natural texture of the onyx, keep the lamp out of direct sunlight.

CAREWhich bulb do you recommend?

We recommend a warm white 2700 K LED bulb. Socket type and maximum wattage vary by model; you will find this information in the Specifications section of the product page and in the technical drawing. Cool white light distorts the natural color gradations of the stone.
