The Ombrelle d’Onyx Floor Lamp pairs a parasol shade of onyx panels with an onyx lower body, and when lit, it casts stained-glass patterns of light around it.

Story

Ombrelle is the French word for parasol. With this floor lamp, we brought the parasol form of our table lamp and wall sconce models to full height. The Ø52 cm shade is made of onyx panels set within a brass framework. A brass-plated tube descends from beneath the shade, extending 90 cm, and joins an onyx lower body 30 cm tall. A Ø32 cm base gives the lamp a firm footing on the floor. In Parisian-style living rooms, cafés, and hotel lobbies, Ombrelle creates the effect of stage lighting.

Stone: Natural Onyx

Onyx is a translucent natural stone formed as calcium carbonate carried by spring waters settles, layer upon layer, over thousands of years. This structure allows light to pass through the stone. The veining and color gradation of each block belong to that piece alone. When the lamp is lit, this pattern is illuminated from within and comes into view. The Ombrelle floor lamp uses an onyx with gray and dark-toned veins on a cream ground.

Light

The lamp has an E27 socket, and an LED bulb of up to 15 W is recommended. The light passes through the onyx panels and casts the shadows of the veins onto the surrounding surfaces. The onyx lower body is also lit from within, adding a second point of light to the floor lamp. The bulb is not included.

Care and use

A soft, dry microfiber cloth is all it needs. Do not use liquid cleaners, solvents, or abrasives. Place the floor lamp on a flat, stable surface. To protect the stone’s natural texture, keep the lamp out of direct sunlight. We recommend a warm white (2700 K) LED bulb. Cool white light distorts the stone’s color gradations.

Simply wipe it with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, solvents, or abrasives. If a mark appears, wipe it with a slightly damp cloth, then buff with a dry one.

To protect the natural texture of the onyx, keep the lamp out of direct sunlight.

RETURNSWhat are the return conditions?

We accept returns only when a product reaches you broken, cracked, or damaged in transit. Otherwise, no returns or exchanges are accepted.

Report the damage to studio@nyxora.lighting within 48 hours of delivery, with your order number and photographs of the damage; we will manage the return process. Natural variations in the veining, color, and tone of onyx are not considered defects.
