At the top of the column sit an aged gold-toned brass socket and a Ø12 cm decorative glass globe bulb. Used together, the two sizes create a composition of light at different heights. In living room corners, beside console tables, and in bedrooms, Orbe stands like a warm sculpture.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eStone: Orange Onyx\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eOrange onyx, with warm yellow and orange bands broken by gray-blue transitions, is one of the onyx varieties with the most striking relationship to light. When the lamp is lit, its translucent calcite layers glow from within like a sunset. When it is off, the stone becomes a sculpture with a soft, sedimentary texture.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eLight\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe light comes from the decorative glass globe bulb in an E27 socket at the top. When lit, the onyx discs also glow warmly, and the yellow-orange bands of the orange onyx come forward.
