Rather than carving the body from a single piece, we built it as a rhythm, stacking cubes and spheres one after another like stones along a garden path. When the warm tone of honey onyx meets the blue of the shade, the lamp becomes a pastoral painting. Lit, the stone spheres glow from within, and the patterned shade leaves the light of a country evening in the room.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eStone: Honey Onyx\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eQuarried in Afyonkarahisar, honey onyx forms as calcium carbonate carried by spring waters settles, very slowly, over thousands of years. This slow formation gives the stone a crystalline, translucent body: it does not reflect light but lets it pass through.
