In designing this lamp, we looked for the stone’s most striking face: the bands of orange onyx shifting from yellow to red, and the gray-blue silences between them. We chose the sharp geometry of the pyramid and the trapezoid deliberately, because when the chaotic veining of nature meets the straight line of human design, both appear stronger. Lit in the evening, Halo draws a small horizon in the middle of the room.

Stone: Orange Onyx

In orange onyx, warm yellow and orange bands are broken by gray-blue transitions, making it one of the onyx varieties with the most striking relationship to light. When the lamp is lit, its translucent calcite layers glow from within like a sunset; when unlit, it becomes a soft, sediment-textured sculpture.

Light

The shade and the pyramid body light up from within at the same time. The light brings the bands of the stone forward, layer by layer, casting a warm orange-gold halo onto the table. A strong statement piece for a console, a bar, or a bedside.

Specifications

Shade: Single-piece orange onyx, trapezoid form, internally lit

Body: Single-piece orange onyx pyramid

Detail: Brass connector and base plate

Light: Warm-toned light from the entire body

Dimensions (W × D × H): 50 × 26 × 65 cm

Component dimensions: Onyx shade 50 × 26 × H26 cm (6–8 mm) · onyx conical body H35 cm, base 21 × 15.5 cm

Model code: NT-004

Production: Handmade · Izmir, Türkiye · numbered piece

Care

A soft, dry microfiber cloth is all it needs. We recommend a warm white (2700 K) LED bulb; cool white light distorts the stone’s color gradations.

Every Nyxora piece is handmade from natural stone in our Izmir atelier.
