With this sconce, we had in mind the cool mornings of a house on the Mediterranean coast. The blue-and-white pattern on the shade recalls antique tilework. We shaped the body, the backplate, and the small finial at the top from cream-toned onyx. A brass ring joins the shade to the body. In living rooms with a sea view, at the bedside, and in dining nooks, Dolce creates a relaxed atmosphere.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eStone: Natural Onyx\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eOnyx is a translucent natural stone formed as calcium carbonate carried by spring waters settles, layer upon layer, over thousands of years. This structure allows light to pass through the stone. The veining and color gradation of each block belong to that piece alone. When the lamp is lit, this pattern is illuminated from within and comes into view. The body and backplate of Dolce are made from a cream-toned, finely veined onyx.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eLight\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eLight comes from a single LED source in an E14 socket. The fabric shade gently directs the light downward and toward the wall.
