With this sconce, we set three onyx discs on the wall like a constellation. The discs, Ø18, Ø23, and Ø28 cm in diameter, are arranged from smallest to largest and overlap to create depth. At the center of each disc, a knurled brass cap adds an architectural focal point to the fluid bands of the stone. Disque stands like a work of art on a living-room wall, above a bed, or in a hotel corridor.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eStone: Natural Onyx\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eOnyx is a translucent natural stone formed as calcium carbonate carried by spring waters settles, layer upon layer, over thousands of years. This structure allows light to pass through the stone. The veining and color gradation of each block belong to that piece alone. When the lamp is lit, this pattern is illuminated from within and comes into view. The discs of Disque are made from an onyx with honey, amber, and cream bands.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eLight\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eBehind each disc sits an LED source in a G9 socket. The light passes through onyx 18 mm thick and brings out its honey, amber, and cream bands. By day, the natural texture of the discs takes center stage.
